Video review: the Vectrix electric scooter

Podtech has a video interview with the chaps behind the Vectrix electric scooter, which is launching in the US. The presenter and guest take a bit of getting used to, but it’s pretty cool nonetheless. What’s amazing is the complete silence when it’s idling (especially when another scooter drives past in the background). And, of course, zero emissions.

There’s one bizarre moment (at about 7:40), when the chap explains that they’ve added a humming noise, “for awareness and safety, so that if there are blind or deaf people … they hear that little hum”. Say what?
