Urban London adds Peterborough's Steve Bowyer as speaker
Steve Bowyer, who is head of economic development at Opportunity Peterborough and director of the city’s Future Cities Demonstrator program, will join Urban London as a speaker on June 5.
An event that looks at innovation, technologies and strategies for improving life in cities, Urban London will be held at Digital Enterprise Greenwich.
Bowyer has more than 25 years of experience in the built environment, heritage and urban regeneration. He has spent the past few years working to support business growth and inward investment in Peterborough.
Among the recent projects he has worked on are the award-winning regeneration of the city’s Cathedral Square. Bowyer has also helped Peterborough to win £3 million from the Technology Strategy Board as a Future City Demonstrator.
Bowyer has strong links to business and economic organizations, as well as to the local environmental sector (both public and private). He holds a degree and MSc in building conservation and is a member of the IHBC and the Leicester Cathedral Fabric Advisory Committee.
