Time's running out to enter Greenbang's 2011 Efficiency Awards
The clock’s quickly ticking toward the Oct. 14 deadline to enter your efficiency technology, project or person for Greenbang’s 2011 Efficiency Awards. We’ll need to hear from you before the end of the day tomorrow to be able to consider you for this year’s awards. (Editor’s note: the deadline has since been extended to Friday, Oct. 28.)
Our awards will go to the leading entries in 10 categories:
- Data center technology
- Cloud computing
- Transport
- Buildings
- Communications/networking
- Home efficiency
- Energy technologies (ie, waste heat to energy, kinetic energy, etc.)
- Public sector project
- Person of the year
- Company of the year
To enter, complete our online PDF entry form or provide the required information in your own document and email it to Greenbang Managing Editor Shirley Siluk at shirley@theglobalview.com. You’ll need to provide at least one case study demonstrating the efficiency of your entry, make a case for market need and include at least one third-party comment that validates your entry.
We’ll also need your company name, contact information and award category. The application fee — $400 US (£250, €290) — is payable online.

Winners will be announced at our Greenbang 2011 Efficiency Awards event/drinks gathering on November 24 at Grace in London.
Among the winners of the inaugural Greenbang 2010 Awards were SAP (Best corporate responsibility project), 1E (Best IT technology), Onzo (Top smart-grid technology), TelecityGroup (Best data center innovation), Carbon Voyage (Most efficient transport programme), Cawleys (Best sustainable resource management programme), L’Oreal (Best low-energy building), Sony Ericsson (Best cross-organisation sustainability effort) and Verizon (Top in-house sustainability effort).
