Tendril sets 'Hackathon' for its Connect smart-grid platform
Smart-grid platform provider Tendril plans to hold a “Cleanweb Hackathon” that gives application developers early access to some of its APIs, documentation, sample code and help forums.
Scheduled for September 10 and 11 at PariSoma in San Francisco, the event is being organized to demonstrate the functionality of Tendril’s Connect “cloud platform for the energy internet.”
Tendril will also be providing a data set for the Hackathon. The purpose of the event is to offer a demonstration of Connect in action and provide application developers with access enabling them to build out their energy-management applications.
An awards show is set to follow the demonstration and Hackathon contest on Sept. 11.
Tendril’s cloud-based Connect platform enables standards-based communications that can support networked devices, data and intelligence, enable remote management capabilities and support an emerging marketplace of new services. Tendril team members will be on hand at the Hackathon to answer questions and display some of the Tendril mass-market energy management technology.
