Smart-grid project wins German tech award
The partner consortium Peer Energy Cloud has won the first prize in the “Trusted Cloud” technology competition presented by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The consortium project, which is focused on the development of solutions for the intelligent distribution and usage of renewable energy, is set to take place over the next three years.
Members of the consortium include the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, AGT Germany, SEEBURGER AG and the public utility company Saarlouis.
The Peer Energy Cloud consortium aims to develop innovative recording and forecasting methods for the creation of grid load curves to optimise the load flow. It also seeks to establis a virtual marketplace for power trading within microgrids.
