Smart-grid pace keeps accelerating

Happy spring, Greenbangers!

The pace of smart grid/smart cities developments continues to accelerate, and that’s keeping us busier than ever here at Greenbang. Our latest news is the release of our report comparing the visibility of leading smart-cities firms, “The Greenbang Smart Matrix™ – Smart Cities: How brands compare on marketing vs. capability in the smart-city space.”

The report reveals a number of disconnects and opportunities between what companies do and what they say they do. It also offers recommendations on how lagging firms can make more noise, build communities and more effectively convey their smart-city message to customers and others.

Feed-in tariff shock

Many solar companies in the UK are still reeling from last week’s announcement that the government plans to make steep cuts to support for larger-scale photovoltaic installations. Barely a year old, the tariff has had a considerable impact on the growth of renewables in Britain — a success that now appears in jeopardy for solar. Research analyst Raphael Raggatt will discuss these latest developments and more this week during a free webinar scheduled for 2 to 3 pm GMT on Wednesday, March 23. It’s not too late to register for this event, and you can sign up here.

Stay tuned for more Greenbang announcements in the weeks to come. In the meantime, have a look at some of our latest online Insight posts.

Thanks for reading Greenbang!
