Siemens highlights energy projects for megacities

Siemens Energy plans to present four selected projects that can provide energy-efficient and eco-friendly power for megacities as part of the “Metropolitan Solutions” exhibit at next month’s Hanover Fair.

The featured projects include:

• An offshore wind farm in the Thames estuary that can provide a sustainable power supply for hundreds of thousands of households in Greater London;
• A comprehensive smart-grid solution for a utility in Texas;
• A combined heat-and-power plant with maximised fuel utilisation to provide eco-friendly energy and heat to Moscow City, Moscow’s new international business center; and
• A high-efficiency combined-cycle power plant for Singapore, which will contribute toward meeting the growing power demand in the Asian metropolis.
