SCI to acquire Servidyne, rebrand as SCIenergy

Scientific Conservation Inc. (SCI), which provides predictive diagnostics and analytics for energy efficiency, plans to acquire the energy management and demand response firm Servidyne in an all-cash transaction.

The $3.50-per-share acquisition is expected to close during or before the fourth quarter of this year. Once the transaction is completed, the combined company will take on the name SCIenergy Inc. The new firm will bring together Servidyne’s experience in energy efficiency, demand response and facilities maintenance with SCI’s core competency in cloud-based energy management.

The transaction is also expected help SCI realize its goal of one billion square feet of energy management for commercial real estate.
