Richard Branson 'has a lot of making up to do'

Aside from growing a beard that outshines both Noel Edmonds’s and Santa Claus’s put together, Richard Branson has been spreading a bit of environmental love as he goes. There was the Virgin Earth Prize, Chinese clean tech firm not to mention the biofuel powered plane, to mention a few highlights.

There’s no denying Branson has been one busy little bearded bee.

Only how does all his green work sit alongside his 1 cent Virgin plane fares and crisscrossing the globe using emission-generating air travel?

Apparently, it’s something that Richard has been contemplating. Probably while scratching his beard. According to the The Star, the hirsute one believes that it’s impossible to put the mockers on flying itself and rather everyone should get on with working out some tasty green fuel alternatives.

“I’ve got a lot of making up to do, but I obviously hope that very soon we’ll have clean fuels in the planes that we operate so that they won’t, hopefully, be damaging the environment,” says Branson.
