Remembering Brian Robertson of Amonix

Our thoughts today are with the family, friends and co-workers of Amonix CEO Brian Robertson, who passed away Dec. 22 in a plane crash in York County, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

“We are devastated by this tragic accident,” said Vahan Garboushian, Amonix founder, CTO and board chairman. “Brian was an incredible leader and our heart goes out to his family.”

A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Robertson was co-founder of Sunworks Solar, a solar manufacturing plant developer, and co-founder of SunEdison. He joined Amonix when the company acquired Sunworks in 2009.

Based in Seal Beach, California, Amonix designs and manufactures systems for concentrated photovoltaic commercial solar power. The company has posted a blog on its website where family, friends and partners can share their condolences online.
