Princeton receives $100m donation for environmental research

PrinceonWhen Greenbang was on the university rowing squad she always looked enviously at universities such as Harvard or Princeton.  The clubs at these prestigious universities always had a waiting list for alumni to buy brand new racing boats.  Meanwhile, she was stuck in a 25 year old shell and repeatedly came second at the big regattas.

Thankfully, however, it’s not just the sports clubs that get the cash.  Princeton has just announced four donations to expand its environmental research, the largest of which is for $100 million placing it into the top three gifts ever received by the university.

This $100 million from 1952 almnus Gerhard Andlinger’s will fund the Gerhard R. Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment.
