Power plants get instant CARMA
Like a giant game of carbon top trumps, if you’ve ever wanted to compare and contrast the dirtiest power plants around the world, the Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA) website is for you.
It’s a global database showing the CO2 emissions, power production, and emission intensity of the 50,000 power plants in the world and the 20,000 companies that own them, according to the site’s owners – go check out Drax fronting for the UK.
It’s an interesting site, with some nifty features and it’s already sparked environmental protests in Australia. Go check it out.
