Partnership aims to expand rooftop solar in Greece

Piraeus Equity Partners, a company of Piraeus Bank Group, and Positive Energy have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at implementing an investment program for the installation of photovoltaic systems on industrial rooftops.

Piraeus Equity Partners together with its subsidiary, Piraeus Equity Advisors, are the private equity investment branch of Piraeus Bank Group. Positive Energy is an energy performance certificate (EPC) provider in renewable energy sources solutions in southeastern Europe.

The first phase of this cooperation is the installation of two 1-megawatt peak photovoltaic systems on industrial rooftops in northern Greece, and is currently the largest photovoltaic project to be implemented on industrial rooftops. The construction of the project has been undertaken by Positive Energy, which builds turnkey photovoltaic projects and has a significant project portfolio throughout Greece.
