One small step for shipping, one big step for forests
Every now and then, Greenbang stumbles across something that – to be honest – we’d never even imagined. Did you know, for example, that shipping containers are lined with wood, often from tropical forests?
Well, we didn’t, but some bright chaps in the UK have picked up on this and developed a bamboo alternative–partly because bamboo grows again after being cut (and it grows super-fast, especially when compared to trees). What a great idea. And this report says at least one major shipping company is adopting it.
