- SAP is working to develop a system that will let utility companies link data from smart meters to its back-office operations;
- Digi International has announced a green design contest to promote development of applications that can save energy in electrical consumption, water consumption, natural gas or fuel consumption, or that can eliminate or monitor air pollution;
- Viper Networks announced today that the required government licenses have been issued for a large-scale plant installation in Korea that will convert up to 100 tonnes of waste per day into compost;
- Researchers from University College Dublin say a 2-percent fish oil diet reduces the amount of methane released by cattle;
- Van Jones, the US’s new green jobs “czar,” has won the Aspen Institute’s Environment Award for Individual Thought Leadership.
