New technology squeezes more solar juice
Anyone else remember the McCain (chips not presidential candidate) advert that posed the question: “what do you prefer, daddy or chips?”
Greenbang prefers chips. Great big photovoltaic ones.
Aside from a slight hangover making her think of nothing but chips, a fry up and a nice cup of sugary tea Greenbang is currently leafing through a press release from the silicon chip designer National Semiconductor. Apparently the company is going to enter the solar market with a piece of technology, called SolarMagic, to squeeze more energy when the light conditions are variable. According to Nat Semi, up to 50 per cent of the lost energy can be recouped.
