MP uses web conferencing to cut carbon

(And boost popularity?)

In 20 days, Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams says he saved:

4012 miles’ travel – or six days

161.5 kg of CO2

All this over seven online meetings each with two or three participants

He did it using WebEx‘s online conferencing technology.

The company reckons this has the potential to reduce Mark Williams’ emissions by nearly three tonnes a year and save taxpayers’ money.

But do you reckon many MPs would move to this?
