Meet the new electric city car: EEC's ev'ie
The UK’s Electric Car Corporation has launched a new battery-powered vehicle designed specifically for city use.
The four-seat Citroen C1 ev’ie comes in both three- and five-door models and can be charged in six hours. It provides a top speed of 60 miles per hour, with a range per charge of 60 to 75 miles.
The new car offers special benefits for city drivers, according to the Electric Car Corporation. They include no road tax, no London Congestion Charge, free parking in many areas, a cost per charge of about 95p and low insurance costs.
The C1 ev’ie also comes with all the safety features found in most standard cars, including full driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, side impact door protection and rear door child locks.
