Job alert: Environmental life cycle sustainability manager
PepsiCo, makers of all the fine goods pictured on the left here, are looking for an environmental life cycle sustainability manager (say that twice fast without taking a breath).
But it sounds great, as the ad explains:
In a nutshell, your role will involve reducing our carbon footprint and making us a more environmentally friendly business. To achieve this, you’ll oversee the further development and execution of our Life Cycle Assessment Programme across all product supply chains. This will involve everything from identifying carbon and water usage in products and spotting opportunities to be more efficient, to developing stronger governance and keeping consumers informed regarding our achievements. You’ll also work closely with universities, the Carbon Trust, internal departments and external suppliers to ensure we operate as effectively as possible.
And check out the package on this one: c.£33,000 – £45,000 +bonus + benefits + final salary pension scheme. The only downside is the fact that you’d have to work near Reading. Ok, so it’s not much of a downside, just a little one…
