Itron takes part in smart-grid video ed program

Itron Inc. has participated in the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Vids for Grids: New Media for the New Energy Workforce program to help demonstrate smart-grid equipment, explain electrical engineering concepts and portray career opportunities in smart-grid technology.

NEMA, the association of electrical and medical imaging equipment manufacturers, recently launched the first few videos from its 12-video program. Its goal is to educate the public and engineering students about smart-grid concepts. Through this program, NEMA is working with selected member manufacturers to highlight a variety of technologies that play a vital role in the smart grid.
