Hydrogen v hybrid: who's the winner?
Unless you’ve gone all ostrich, you’ve probably heard the world and his wife mentioning hydrogen fuel cell cars. But unless you’ve got supernaturally good eye sight, you’ve probably not seen your local petrol pump distributing hydrogen alongside the diesel, unleaded, chocolate bars and jazz mags.
But if you live in Florida, this month, you’ve now got the choice of two after BP opened its second (hydrogen) gas station.

“It’s just unfortunate that there has to be so much infighting,” said Patricia Monahan of the clean vehicles program at the Union of Concerned Scientists, which calls itself “agnostic” on which technology holds more promise. “Sometimes it seems almost personal.” Fundamentally, the disagreement is over which technology is more viable.
