Honda teases with green leases
Honda, apparently, is about to start leasing its hydrogen powered cars to some Stateside drivers this month.
But – and there’s always a but, as Sir Mixalot will tell you – is this, courtesy of Business Week:
“Ford Motor Co. President and CEO Alan Mulally said Tuesday that his company is at least 10 years away from offering a fuel-cell car on the market, in part because Ford is concerned about the safety of the highly flammable lithium-ion batteries used in the vehicles.”
While Honda’s cars are safe as they only use “limited amounts” of lithium ion battery, it seems to Greenbang that the whole question of flammable vehicles is one that rather deserves some attention. Is there anyone out there looking into this?
