Haiti publishing firm enters IT for e-learning

Maison Henri Deschamps, the leading publishing company for the education sector in Haiti, has launched a new information technology division, RETAL, to build a state-of-the-art data centre in the nation’s capital, Port-au-Prince.

In addition to serving Deschamps’ enterprise needs, the facility will be the backbone of a vision that started close to 113 years ago, when the company was founded:  to transform Haiti through the power of education. The data centre will be one of the pillars of the Deschamps strategy to build an e-learning project to digitise its educational content and provide the flexibility to deliver it to students in various digital forms.
