Green your motor with GPS

GPS is not just about saving you the “No, I said left – no, my left, not yours!” hilarity of long-distance driving, there’s also a green angle to it too.

Telstra, Australia’s largest telecoms company – think BT but Down Under – says installing GPS in its drivers’ vans has helped them reduce their fuel consumption by five percent.

This nice little nugget comes from a report by Telstra detailing all the various exciting ways Aussies can use broadband to cut their carbon footprint. Bonza!
