Global temperatures shooting up

fireThis via Climate Progress: despite the unusually cold and snowy winter many of us are experiencing, global temperatures over the past year have rocketed up by 20 times the rate of previous years. Tell us that’s not scary.

Citing new data from NASA, Climate Progress’ Joseph Romm reports that global temperatures shot up by 0.37 degrees C between January of 2008 and this past January. That’s not only far more rapid an increase that’s been measured before, but 20 times higher than what most climate models have predicted.
