European lighting firm expands LED offerings

Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH has completed a pan-European franchise agreement with California-based Intematix Corp. The pact gives Rutronik distribution rights to Intematix’ entire product portfolio of chip-on-ceramic power light-emitting diodes (LEDs), arrays and modules.

Rutronik will also have access to Intematix full-solution line of control systems, secondary optics and heat management technologies.

The Intematix product portfolio has been designed specifically for general lighting applications, complementing Rutronik’s range of optoelectronic components. With Intematix LEDs, Rutronik plans to target areas such as LED-based solid state lighting, indoor and outdoor lighting, architectural lighting, window lighting, spotlights, airfield lighting, marine lighting as well as design and advertising lighting applications.

Rutronik will continue to pursue its in-house development and marketing of LED street lighting in co-operation with Intematix. Rutronik has already installed a successful LED street lighting system in Remchingen (Baden-Wuerttemberg).
