Echelon unveils building energy management solution

Echelon Corporation, headquartered in San Jose, California, will provide a preview of its new Echelon Building Energy Management (BEM) solution at this week’s Ecobuild conference in London.

The system is based on Echelon’s building automation technology, the LonWorks platform, which is used in over 300,000 buildings worldwide. According to Echelon, the BEM offering delivers a fast-installing, low-cost hardware, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) energy management solution with a payback ranging from between three and 24 months based on savings from early adopters of the solution.

The BEM solution is expected to be available at the end of the first quarter of this year.
