Eastern-bloc invests in the green...

pocket.jpgEverywhere someone is getting in on the green revolution.

Hell, last night Greenbang watched some Dragon’s Den repeats (he had missed them previously) and was delighted to see Theo Paphitis and the woman with the smacked-arse face investing in a ‘100 per cent green haulage firm’.

Although perhaps revolution is a bit of strong word. Some people are still taking some persuading. Particularly developing nations, such as China and India, which are regularly cited as the future sticking-point for anti-global warming measures.

Anywho, one emerging part of the world does appear to be investing heavily in greenness. MoneyAM reports Renewable energy venture Green Bear, owned by investment fund Orco Holding, plans to invest £1.4bn in wind and other energy generation projects in former communist central Europe by 2012.

And Dubai is up to it to.
