  • Estimates of how much crude oil we have extracted from the planet vary wildly. Now, UK researchers have published a new estimate in the International Journal of Oil, Gas and Coal Technology that suggests we may have used more than we think;

  • The Office of Fair Trading has today launched a short market study into the sale of second-hand cars;
  • A delegation of senior executives from Hitachi Europe and Hitachi Europe Rail Group visited Newcastle this week to view a site in the local area that has been shortlisted as a possible location for a UK manufacturing plant.
