- Foster Wheeler AG announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by SENER-AMSA JV to design and supply the steam generating equipment for the new Gemasolar Project tower-type concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in Seville, Spain;
- Following its successful debut in Europe and Asia, GE Energy today announced that its 2.5-megawatt wind turbine is coming to the US;
- Point Carbon reports that Deutsche Bank has revised downward its 2009 emissions estimate for the EU, with sectors expected to emit 50 millions tonnes less carbon dioxide this year;
- Students on Cranfield University’s MSc Motorsport Engineering and Management programme last week presented the findings of their group project, supported by Williams Hybrid Power, to design a Kinetic Energy Recovery System, one of the newest and most sophisticated technologies currently used in F1.
