- The Great British Refurb Campaign for green home renovations was launched at the Grand Designs Live event over the weekend;
- Homes equipped with energy saving products are in a better position to retain their value compared to others without such tools, according to the eco-homes advice company GreenMoves;
- Atmospheric carbon dioxide levels last week reached an unprecedented peak of 397 parts per million, an increase of more than 2.5 parts per million since last year, according to researchers at the Zeppelin research station on Svalbard in northern Norway;
- According to a new report from Pike Research, the total opportunity for major green renovations in the commercial building sector (both public and private) is approximately $400 billion over the coming years;
- A European project is proving the benefits of e-procurement to public administrations and SMEs in five European regions. And by linking the different platforms, Europe is set to get its first cross-border e-tendering technology;
- Point Carbon reports that Poland’s energy output decreased by 0.7 per cent in the first quarter of this year.
