- GE Energy today announced it plans to build a service and distribution centre in the Kaluga region southwest of Moscow;
- Research and Markets today released a new report titled, “China Wind Market Growth Amidst Financial Crisis”;
- A new affordable housing complex to be dedicated next week in Santa Monica, California, will feature a 30-kilowatt solar installation to help reduce residents’ utility costs;
- Carbon management solution provider Carbonetworks has expanded from its base in British Columbia to open offices in London and San Francisco;
- Point Carbon reports that electricity-related greenhouse gas emissions in New Zealand rose by 13 percent in 2008, while Danish emissions fell by 4.7 percent;
- A legal review has put a halt to construction on Jóźwin IIB’s open-cast pit and coal mine near Konin, Poland;
