- Southern Company has announced it’s recently installed its one millionth Smart Meter in its service area in the Southeast;
- The US Environmental Protection Agency today announced $297 million (US) in funding for clean water projects in three northwest states, Alaska and tribal areas;
- The Cleantech Venture Challenge for technology businesses will be held 18 – 19 March at the Colorado Convention Centre in Denver;
- Great River Energy has published a new white paper to help other organisations construct a Platinum-certified LEED building like its new headquarters in Minnesota;
- Panopto will help the University of Bath provide training to organisations seeking to better understand product and service carbon footprints and carbon labels;
- UOP LLC has entered into an agreement with Vaperma Inc. to jointly offer technology to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in biofuel ethanol dehydration;
- IBM plans to build a green data center in Austria for kika/Leiner that will cut energy consumption by up to 40 percent;
- Texas’ Entech Solar has entered into a research contract with Fraunhofer USA’s Center for Sustainable Energy Systems to evaluate the feasibility of high-efficiency back-contact silicon solar cells in Entech’s concentrating solar systems;
- Developer Vantage Properties has teamed up with the US Energy Group to reduce the carbon footprint of its 139-building portfolio in New York City;
- Robert Burke, vice president of Civil Systems for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems sector, this week called for the development of a global climate change monitoring system.
