China buys hundreds of wind turbines
We’ve said it before, but even though China gets a lot of nagging for all the dirty carbon it pumps out, it’s already thinking about alternative energy supplies on a scale you wouldn’t believe.
This time Danish wind firm Vestas has sold 232 wind turbines to Inner Mongolia.
The order comes from China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power. The order includes supply and a two-year maintenance and service agreement.
Delivery of the turbines will begin in mid 2008 and is expected completed by the end of 2009. All turbines will be delivered from Vestas’ production facilities in Tianjin, China.
