Campaign urges Congress to act on energy security

The Energy Security Leadership Council (ESLC), a project of Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE), today launched an educational campaign designed to urge members of Congress  to combat the threats posed by America’s dangerous and ongoing dependence on petroleum. Among the priorities it identifies: electrification of US ground transportation, increased energy access through expanded domestic supply, reduced demand for oil through improved vehicle efficiency, accelerated development of new energy-related techology and management of risks and global issues.
