Better Place, Renault launch e-car services in Denmark

Better Place and its partner Renault have opened Europe’s first Better Place centre for people interested in learning more about electric cars.

Visitors to the centre will have the opportunity to place an order for a Renault Fluence Z.E. and sign up with the Better Place team for a subscription of electric mobility services for consumers, fleet managers and the public sector.

The price for the Fluence Z.E. “Prime Time” offering launched in Denmark starts at 205,000 DKK (€27.496), including VAT. In addition, Better Place will offer a choice of five fixed-price packages based on kilometres driven. For drivers who drive more than 40,000 kilometers per year, Better Place offers an “all you can drive” package for 2,995 DKK (€399) per month.

According to Better Place, the package effectively give drivers of the switchable-battery Fluence Z.E. unlimited driving range and unlimited kilometres in Denmark in an era when oil prices are at a two-year peak and rising.

Initial delivery of the Renault Fluence Z.E. with Better Place mobility services is set for the fourth quarter of this year.
