BB Electronics to deliver 'several million euros' of smart meters

Denmark’s BB Electronics will deliver several million euros’ worth of smart meters for the European energy market this year.

The company adds it expects to see a potential for more business as European Union legislation mandates the rollout of smart electricity meters to enable people to actively monitor and control their power consumption.

BB Electronics has provided engineering and development resources through its DesignLink Services from Denmark and China to ramp up smart meter manufacturing to meet demand. The meters will be manufactured at the company’s EMS factory in Suzhou, China.
